God doesn't enjoy or find pleasure in disciplining His children. Not one of us that has children will allow them to do wrong and not discipline them. This doesn't mean we find any form of pleasure in it. Punishment is a way of trying to correct what is wrong and try to get us on the right path. That is all God is doing when he allows us to suffer our mistakes.
